My system: i5 3750k, GTX 680, P8Z77-V Deluxe, W10 64bit

Refurbished XB270HU (via NewEgg)

- When I first connected the XB270HU I turned machine on then monitor and received a "no display" message.
- Turned all off, turned on monitor then computer, same message.
- Reconnected old monitor (via HDMI) - so now two monitors connected.
- Rebooted, took AGES, W10 said it was diagnosing and fixing my computer, installed some updates.

- When I got into it I changed power settings to high performance.
- Reboot, Same thing, took ages to boot, ran diagnostics.
- Shut down. Unconnected the XB270HU. Restarted. STILL took ages to boot.

I have now updated the graphics card, am waiting to attempt updating BIOS until someone more knowledgable tells me it's necessary. I see there's no driver, but have read others don't have issues. Tried to research compatibility issues with GPU before purchase, couldn't find any issues.

Help Please!

i think the problem is not the XB but something else on your PC.

if your motherboard has newer BIOS, i suggest you to update it but i highly doubt this will fix this slow boot.

honestly if my system had this kind of issue, i would try a window refresh (keep user data) and if this doesn't fix, a clean install.

please note that your GTX680, if you play 3D games, will have some performance issues, 2560x1440@144Hz isn't an easy task Smiley Very Happy

Actually i have a i5 2500k @4200mhz, GTX 970, P8Z68V and i can hear the fans of my GTX 970 run very fast.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Thanks for your well thought out reply, IronFly. I had pretty much come to the same conclusion and was about to do a system install when I realized (d'oh!) I used the DisplayPort plug from the motherboard rather than the GPU. Worked fine after that! LOL.
I have noticed a few minor things that, as you say, are probably due to the GTX680: Boot up is excruciatingly slow now - like ten minutes. And Tomb Raider isn't as smooth as I'd like, but I haven't finished tweaking and running GeForce Experience. I'll probably upgrade the MB, CPU and GPU next year but this was just to satisfy my Gear Acquisition Syndrome in the meantime.
I'll watch my temps, but with 32gb ram I didn't expect it to run hard.
