aspire 8920g cpu problem

hi i have an acer aspire 8920g which works fine on a 2.0 ghz 667mhz cpu but when i try the t8300 800mhz cpu which is the original the laptop keeps cutting out and restarting. i have tried several different cpus with the same problem each time. it is not overheating. any help would be great thanks

    Normally you'll find a white sticker near/on the dimm slots. Under the bar code, the first ten charaters are the motherboard part number. It must be MB.AP50B.001=MBAP50B001....

    1. Do you have the lastest bios version?
    2. What is exactly the issue? Bios or Windows boot?

    PS: Sorry but I don't understand: the laptop keeps cutting out and restarting.

    hi latest bios is installed the laptop starts and loads fine but after a couple of minutes shuts down and restarts

    OK! When you install a new processor, sometime you don't need to re-install Windows and sometime you need.

    Why it's a MS mystery!Smiley Happy I already had this kind of problem.

    Do you remember the step/revision of the processor T8300? C0 or M0?

    There is only Rev. M0 in the list stated in my previous reply.
