Switch 10, taskbar functions not responding

I recently bought a Switch 10 with Windows 10 factory installed. After a few hours use (no stupid things), most of the soft buttons on the taskbar in the bottom of the screen stopped working. Search button, notifications, wifi, and most severely the Start button (leftmost Windows symbol) all respond with a short blink of a blue circle and then nothing happens.

I did a full factory reset (Alt-F10; reset) and the taskbar worked again. I did practically nothing more and left it on and loading. The next morning the problem was back! Start button and the others don't work.

Any advice what I can do?

Have you tried running all of the Windows updates? From reading in other forums, it appears OS corruption can cause this. Is there any software you are loading on the system that may be causing this?

Hi, thanks for asking. The only software I installed was Office 2010.

Though I have a factory installed Windows 10, I still tried to run the Upgrade to Windows 10 procedure from Microsoft. I expected a 'You already have' message, but it kept working for an hour, and after several restarts it worked! The problem was gone.

So I'm happy again, hope it won't come back.

Likely it updated Windows 10, there have been at least two major releases of 10 as well as many smaller updates.
