    download this tool, whocrashed:
    http://www.resplendence.com/download/whocrashedSetup.exe

before running it, browse to C:\windows\minidump
delete all the files apart the first 2-3 files (newest)
then install whocrashed and run it
    click on Analyze
    report here the result.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

    Hi all,

I hope this is makes sense, but I am having the exact same problem (error SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (esif_lf.sys) and also ran the WhoCrashed. It gave the same results.

Now, I have clicked and unpacked the ZIP linked to http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/DPTF/DPTF_Intel_8.1.10603.192_W10x64_A.zip?acerid=635840147624219424&Step1=NOTEBOOK&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIRE%20ES1-131&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6, but do not know where to go from there. Which file do I run? Sorry, I must sound like a total sucker when it comes to working with computers, but I got lost from there and couldn't find more info here..

IronFly, can you help me? Thank you in advance!!

    Kind regards,

    Juliette

    Conclusion

6 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. Only 5 are included in this report. A third party driver has been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:

esif_lf.sys (DPTF Zone (64-Bit), Intel Corporation)

If no updates for these drivers are available, try searching with Google on the names of these drivers in combination with the errors that have been reported for these drivers. Include the brand and model name of your computer as well in the query. This often yields interesting results from discussions on the web by users who have been experiencing similar problems.

Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.
