Hi guys!
I'm thinking of upgrading my GPU from a GT630 to a GTX970 (ASUS GTX970-DCMOC-4GD5). However, whenever I try to boot up my computer I end up with a black screen and a blinking cursor. I can't seem to access the BIOS with the GTX970 either. When I swap the GPU back to the GT630, the computer boots up fine.
It seems that people have had differing success with upgrading their GPU to a GTX970 (and other of 900 series). Some claim that it works fine, while others claim that an upgrade is not possible.
I've tried:
- Updating the BIOS (P01-A2)
- Reseating the CMOS battery
- Updating drivers
The same problem remained, for both Windows 7 and Windows 10. I can't seem to find the Secure Boot option either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
