Hi,

I have Acer Aspire E14 laptop. It is bought arround one year ago. The Battery shows 100% charged and If I remove AC power, the Laptop will turn off imediately. I tried followings and still issue is there.

  1. Remove Battery and ON the laptop with AC power and again connect the battery. But issue wasnt rectified.
  2. There is no internal Battery reset button in this E14 laptop
  3. Bios updated to latest available version(v1.21). But issue wasnt rectified.
  4. Removed Drivers in th laptop and reinstall. But issue wasnt rectified.

I got battery report (before Bios update) and its summery as follows. Please help me to resolve this without buying a new battery

It would be nice if you could find someone or a shop with a E-14 that could see if the battery works in theirs,or another battery to try, but it is probably bad. You can have a dead cell and have it still report a full charge, but fail when it is without the power cord.

I checked with another E14 battery from my friend and It worked. Local agent said I need to replace the battery and its cost is 1/4 of the total unit price. This acer battery dead within 12 months and my previous HP laptop battery worked 4 years without problem.

    Not recomending Acer for anyone.
