Can I use 1600mhz in my acer aspire 5750z?

I upgraded my processor from a Intel Pentium Duel Core b950 to a Intel Core i7 2620m.  I've been using this website called CPU World to do this comparing specs.  I want to know if I upgrade my processor to a Intel Core i7-3840QM and based on what I've found it has support for for RAM DDR3 1600mhz... so I want to know will this work?  Will it read the 1600mhz of RAM once I get this processor inside?  This has been a topic I've been discussing with other people at another forum:

I really do enjoy my Acer laptop and I want to do something to really improve it.
