I have an ACER Model A500 on Android Version 4.0.3. When I try to Update the Version, I get the Mess

I get the message: Network coverage is currently poor. Please move to a location with better coverage. My signal strength is EXCELLENT.  I have tried multiple locations with the same failure. What could be the problem?

this message just has the wrong sentence; the right one is : the old FOTA Acer's servers are down, you can't update checking system updates from your tablet.

by the way this is an old device and it's no longer supported.

I went to the link you provided & it appears that there are no updates to my 4.0.3 OS. You did answer my question about why I get the "poor network coverage" though. I appreciate that & unless you or someone else provides me with a means to update my operating system, I will assume that there is no way to update it.  Guess I will buy a newer model.  Thanks for the help.
