bought this laptop today, brand new from tesco, got it home switched it on, went through all the setup process but had to use the on screen keyboard as a lot of the keys dont work. is this something thats quite common?

I have tried changing all the language settings and all that malarky but still certain keys don't work. they are not all bunched together ..o0ms most of the numbers, both on top row and number pad.

Hopefully i'm just being stupid and there is something i have done

any help would be greatly appreciated as acer helplin closes at 5.30pm

thanks

on my opinion there's a faulty keyboard or keyboard connection, nothing you can fix by yourself.

maybe try a reset, since you are still trying to setup.

    windows logo key +s

    type

    reset

    choose reset this PC

    or

click the windows logo icon - settings - update & security - recovery - reset this PC

    I'm not an Acer employee.
