Hello, my name is Derek W.

I work for an OEM manufacturer of Seed Treatment Equipment. We include an Android Tablet with our equipment so our customer can remote monitor their equipment. Our current Tablet that we include has been discontinued, and has occurred in our busy season. We are currently evaluating a replacement tablet and we are looking for end of production life information. That way we can better plan for a tablet re-evaluation when our slow season comes each year / as necessary.

What is your End of Life (production time line) for the Inconia Tab 10 (all makes is fine)

And the Iconia One 10 inch tablets (again all models are fine)?

How long have the tablets been in service (production) for?

I wish I was able to contact Acer direcly to get this information, but due to the fact im researching an alternitive and do not have a SNID, I was sent to the secondary support line and was told they were unable to help me.

Thank you for your time,

Derek W.

I can't help with the official life cycle numbers, but historically they released the A200/A500 models in (I believe) 2010 or 2011, they were superceeded by the A210/A510 models in 2012 and by the first A3 models at the end of 2013. There were a couple of spins of the A3s, then the iconia One 10 came out in 2015. Looks like they target releasing new models about every year and I wouldn't expect them to allow overlap in the channel for much more than a year. So that would be a two year life in the marketplace for any single model...

    Hi Derek,

That information is not something we have available to share, but if you would, send me a private message with your contact information. I'll ask one of our inside sales reps to reach out to you, they may be able to help answer those questions and see where they can help from an Acer standpoint when it comes to the review process.

    Thanks,
    Cory
