I removed the cooling parts (fan and heatsink) from the above mentioned notebook and I replaced thermal pads and conduct with new ones in order to improove cooling, but the problem persists: after Windows 7 fully loads, when I click to open Firefox webrowser and seconds after it fully loads, the screen will either go black or covered with repeated, geometrical colored patterns! Is it possible the graphics card and/or screen are damaged...? Anybody with previous experience on similar situation...?

Thank you all!

George

check screen cable connections, sometimes this happens the the cable became a little loose.

    or

can be a GPU - VGA overheating issue or VGA bad ram.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
