Audio low on 5560

The other day my laptop shut it's self off while I was playing left 4 dead 2, which always turns off dolby advanced audio. I forgot I was still on battery. When I turned it back on, dolby would turn off every time I played any audio so I backup restored the realtek HD and dolby advanced. It fixed it, mostly, dolby seems to die for no reason some times and I have to reinstall it again. But now my audio is so much lower than before. Without dolby or realtek installed, I have loudness equalization, but without dolby my audio sucks so bad. Now with realtek HD and dolby working my audio sounds right, but even at 100% it seems very low. usually it seemed too loud even at 50%. No equalization option.

Any help?

Before you get to far with this issue, how about simply trying to restore the system back to the day before the other day?

Not an option. No restore points saved.

That's odd? If you've done any Windows updates lately, many restore points should have been automatically saved before each update process begins. You might have to click on a "show more restore points" box in control panel.

OK. First, please check device manager for any issues.

I was looking for any highlighted device cautions or warnings in device mgr. What do you mean by up-to-date? Does this mean that you have updated one or more device drivers that originally shipped with your system?
