    Hi sharonfromva

You can download the drivers for your Gateway laptop here, but you will need find someone with a copy of Windows 7 you can borrow, just make sure it's the same version (x64, Home premium etc). You may be lucky to buy a disk, try Amazon or a local PC store) but Windows 7 is becoming ever more difficult to buy. However, you could try to see if the original recovery disks are still available.

Unfortunately, you can no longer download a copy of Windows 7.

I don't recommend downloading from 3rd party sites typically.  The main reasons are a lot of time, files are bundled with malware, or installation files could be corrupt.  Unfortunately, unless you know someone who as a copy of the Windows 7 isos, you're only options are to either download from a 3rd party website and hope for the best.  Or keep an eye on places like ebay, and hope someone is letting go of an OE installation disk for a really cheap price.

I downloaded the windows 7 iso's from a site called getintopc awhile back, and I have the 32 and 64 bit versions of both home and professional that I've used a few times to repair friends and family member's computers.  Must have been about a year since I actually downloaded them, so I cannot say whether or not you'll be ok with getting them from that site now.

It is unfortunate you cannot get these directly from Microsoft anymore.
