I googled and checked crucial on this laptop but crucial shows a standard ssd but according to my device manager it has a Liteon M.2.  I am curious though is it a full 256 or maybe 2 128's?  Also can it be upgraded for a faster Evo 850 M.2?  Another I read is there are different size M.2 ssd's

Your laptop is equipped with one SSD of 256Gb (Lite-on M.2-2280 22x80mm).

There are original SSD of 512Gb M.2 2280.

Two SSD connectors but there's a little space for the second (not 100% sure).

    Hello,

Could you give me the first ten characters of the computer serial number (S/N)? Only the first ten.

Just what I needed, thank you.  Is there a manual for taking this laptop apart or is it pretty straightforward?

    Hello,

Is your laptop still under warranty?

Yes but I live abroad now in Colombia so the chances of me getting warranty work done here is next to impossible lol

    Hello,

    I haven't forgot you.Smiley Wink

    The little tutorial:

    Spoiler
    1. Remove 12 screws from bottom cover (all same)
    2. Return the laptop. The keyboard in front of you.
    3. Use a mediator to insert to the gap near the IO connectors, pry all edges of the top case to release all hocks.
In this order: Right side, front side (touch pad), left side.
    4. Lift the upper edge of top case to remove bottom cover.
    5. Disconnect the battery cable from main board.

Normally you should have access to the SSD (one srew).

I got some questions to ask which I didn't know whom to refer for , my laptop is Acer aspire R5 471T.  51UN. Is it possible for me to upgrade to a "SSD 970 EVO PLUS NVME M.2  1TB" or  "SSD 860 EVO M.2 SATA 2TB"?

As for me I would be interested on fastest one. But I saw them to have different pins (I don't know how tech people call it, in my language we call them tooth 😅 )
