Hello! I have a problem with my new Acer V 15. I want to boot from a USB pen and for that i realized that i need to turn off the UEFI boot mode and start legacy mode, after that i was unable to boot with my hard drive, it shows an error with patents and more random stuff. Any clues what i need to do? I want to install some linux distributions that  want to test. Thanks

UEFI is needed on your actual windows 10 installation.

most of Linux distribution can boot on UEFI settings too, you just need to "burn" the .iso file using Rufus, setting EFI/UEFI only as partition scheme and format FAT32.

can I uninstall my actual version of windows and install it in legacy mode or install another OS, like elementary OS? Thanks for the reply.

installing windows 10 under legacy can arise drivers issues, erratic touchpad, graphic corruption and last but not least is less secure.

you can try to follow this video to Install Elementary OS under UEFI:
