    frisani,

    I did not find anything internally that talks about the codes, but something that you can try:

    Enter the BIOS (if possible, restore defaults by pressing F9 usually), save, and exit.

    I was going to suggest reseating the memory, but that looks like A LOT of work. Smiley Frustrated

    @Acer-Justin,

    I think frisani is talking about the beep bug from the touchpad movement that occurs on a few models.  I haven't looked in to it enough to know if it only affects mobile haswells or not or what the root cause is........but here is a few links and the workaround.  On the R7-371T, after numerous complaints, they apparently modified the driver software that supposedly removed the Realtek HD Audio Manager and *something else*.

    Frisani has the i7 4510U which I think shares the same board as some of the other affected models.

    I think if you go in to Task Manager and then to "Startup" tab and disable the Realtek Audio HD Manager, and then restart your computer, that will resolve the beep and lagging from the touchpad.  That's just a workaround for the beep bug that I think you're talking about. If that's not the beep you're talking about, then disregard.

    Also, Frisani's mobile haswell model is using the buggy Windows 10  11.xx Turbo Boost driver.  The Turbo Boost driver is the same thing as the buggy Windows 10 11.xx Intel Management Engine Interface driver.

    I wrote more about it here.

    First of all i would like to thank you for the answers. About Acer-justin i installed a new version of the Bios (last one on Acer website) because the previous pre-installed was no more on Acer official page. About Jordan, i had already done what you suggested but no lack in this procedure. About the second aspect that you underlined in your last post, i have to say yes. I mean, i had some problem with stand-by and switch-off of my computer and i had installed the Intel Management Engine Interface with bugs, so i came back to the previous version of the driver and everything was ok after that. About this problem, are you suggesting to me to do the same with the Turbo Boost Driver? Should i come back to the previous driver?

    Thank you,

    Ps. I am so disappointed about that because i remember it is only one beep after weeks and no more happens.

    If everything is working ok, i would just leave it.  If you have problems, please post and I'll try and look more closely at your model.  I dont have your model.

    Frisani,

    I just re-read your question.

    Let me first answer your question.  Since you have already rolled back the Intel Management Engine Interface driver, then you don't need to do anything with the turbo boost driver.

    I tried to explain in my previous post that the Intel Management Engine Interface driver is synonymous with the Turbo Boost driver.  They are the same thing for your model.

    Edit: Acer has subsequently labeled the Turbo Boost driver as only for Broadwell. You have Haswell.  Hopefully that will prevent future users from having to do any workarounds.  Hopefully they made the same changes to Acer Care Center too so owners of the Haswell version won't get the buggy driver.
