Basically Ive got my Laptop yesterday and all was fine, however has soon has I tried my Logitech USB headset, that's when everything changed, first it said it was installing the drivers, I then tried them, but on playback my voice seemed weird and it had like a screeching noise, I then update the machine, turned off and restarted and now the speakers have a screeching noise , even when on mute, to proof its the laptop, I plugged a HDMI cable in and the sound was perfect on the TV

Sounds like the drivers for your headphones did something with the drivers for the sound card and it is not playing well. Try ininstalling the headphones and then reinstall them. See if that works out for you.

Well when I plugged them in first go, it found the logitech headphones, but could not download the drivers. Even though camtasia picked them up :/.

Might want to see if the drivers are on their website. Sometimes you have to manualy install them. That may do it.
