google earth

I have an ACER X1420G Desktop running Windows 7 Home Premium that is giving me problems.  Over a period of a couple months I kept getting black screens in many programs at random times, not just internet.  I tried reloading drivers and running diagnostics but could not find the problem.  So I reloaded Windows 7 with the erecovery process and everything seemed to install properly.  I also checked all the connections on the motherboard and everything looks fine.

I was able to run Google Earth before but now I cannot get it to install and run.  The Google Earth installation program downloads but when I try to run it I get a message that Google earth has encountered a problem and must be closed.  I've tried all the Google recommendations like Clear Cache, reload drivers, delete the Google Earth files and reload, etc. but nothing works.  I've downloaded the latest drivers from ACER and installed them, but still have the same problem.

Does anyone have any idea how to find out and correct what is wrong?  I'd appreciate any advice.

Thank you.

Have you tried installing in safe mode? What about downloading the installer again? Unfortunately, I do not have many recommendations for troubleshooting installation of Goggle earth.
