Before the latest Win 10 update (Nov 15) I was able to turn speakers on and hear audio through my laptop speakers.
Then as soon as I plugged in headphones into the headphone socket, the speakers automatically muted and I could hear audio through the headphones only.
When I then unplugged headphones the speakers came back on automatically.
Now that does not work. Whichever device I set as default is the ONLY one which works. Default is selected using right click on speaker icon - playback devices. That Panel shows the speakers and headphones on two separate lines and options to select only one of them as default..
I have checked "Mute all other sounds" in the Communications tab of Sounds in Device Manager.
I have updated drivers. The headphones work in other devices, like my mobile phone.
All worked ok until last update, not touched anything!
