Hello!

Today I ran into a problem with my headset, i got new earbuds 2 days ago and everything was fine until this morning when i could only heard left side of my earbuds. I thought it's fault in earbuds so I tried it on my other pc and they were working. I tried to reinstall Realtek drivers couple times with different versions but no luck. Could it be that the jack is broken and can hear only one side? Also playing games like Dirt 3 makes my laptop extremely laggy and sound is cracking and popping, shouldn't happen for a laptop with those kind of specs on older game.

    yarken,

Sound cracking and popping does not sound right, definitely. Does it only do this when playing games or when you watch (stream) something online possibly? The port could be bad, it is hard to tell honestly, you could perform a refresh to see if that fixes any possible software issues.

I fixed the sound cracking and popping by turning off TurboBoost, because my laptop have over 40% thermo throttling when running TurboBoost, that was the problem for sound issues, those are gone now. When I started to dig deeper I saw that my temperatures are really high.

    yarken,

I am assuming that you have the Acer Coolboost and Dust Defender turned on to help?

Yes, I have those turned on.

EDIT: I noticed that my BIOS is version 1.11, but the lattest Acer bios driver is 1.10. Could that cause some issues?
