Hi

I made a change to the BIOS to try to boot a linux live cd (turned off secure boot and changed to legacy) and the system no longer boots windows.

I am not surprised by this but I can't get into the BIOS to put right my changes. The "press F2 " screen is only present for about 0.5 seconds and after hours of trying with the laptop keyboard and with a usb one I can't get back into the bios.

If I can't get in with F2 is there another way to get the bios back into the right state for windows?

Is there a battery I can remove or a jumper to set the bios back to a default? Or another key press I don't know about?

Thanks for your help

Steve

    FIXED !! :-)

My wife found on another thread that holding the power button for 2 minutes changed the bios mode and it did!

power on and hold power button for 2 mins (even after the power light goes off)

power on again and the Press F2 screen is gone

boot recovery key and UEFI options are back so entered bios and defaulted.

Thanks to everyone who helped me
