Got it done, it was quite simple actually, since I can see the XP machine from this one, I shared the folders that I want to print from then I just open the folder here, click the file I want to print and click print, worked great.

Hello and I feel your pain!!!! Anyway there is some issues with your request... There are ways around the issues... I am not sure if your xp machine is a Laptop or desktop as you don't say!!!

I would say that if you are using a XP desktop and that the location isn't in a bad spot for a Printer move it would be better if you put the Printer on the XP machine.... ONe of the reasons that I got away from all my other printers that wasn't Wireless or Wired.

One of the issues is that even though you have them in the same Network, XP and 10 or 8 just have different Security. To work around this issues I don't as I am to lazy lol. So before I had all my Printers Network able, I had a XP Print Server set up in my system as a way to get around this...

So if you can and want to make your XP a Print Server for your home or Home Office, I would set it up. DL the Drivers for your XP machine, Then set it as Default printer, Then set it to Share.

Then in your XC703G machine, Remove the old printer or keep it up to you, Then click add printer, ONce the search is done, Click on not listed, Select a shared Printer by name. Then you can Browse if you can't find the XP machine you can type in the name (You must know what you shared the Printer as in this step.( here you will want to bring up the command prompt in admin mode and type (net view, This will list your computers over your network, then in the window before type in \\XPCOMPUTERNAME\PRINTERSHARENAME then press next. IT will now add your printer over that computers connection. You can set it as Default now seeing it is going to print over that connection now)))) remember that your XP is 32bit and so if you are asked to set up printer under 64bit it should find automatic anyway..

Now the main issue when you want to move files, I would say that it is best and little bit of a pain, however you can move files from your 703G machine to your xp, and when you want to move from the xp you will have to copy them into your shared folder before on the xp machine so you can then take them to your 703G machine, with that machine.

There is a walk around and I would have to get out the old trusty box of mine from years ago. Settings would have to be changed on the 703G but for me I feel that isn't as secure as it is now. So BEST TO KEEP AS IT IS....

Here is some Pictures of the Test Prints First one is a 603 win10  to my Brother Over Wireless
