Can someone in the forum guide me how to upgrade RAM in Acer Aspire V3-575T-7008 laptop.

I comes with 8GB and I want to upgrade it to 16GB.

There is no documentation other than the website saying there are 2 DIMM slots and Max RAM is 16GB.

Thanks,

VJ

  • Hello,

I confirm your laptop supports up to 16Gb - DDR3L - 1600MHz (2x8Gb). I suggest you to buy the same memory module. You'll find the brand part number with HWINFO.

Here are the original memory modules of 8 Gb:

    Spoiler
    KN.8GB07.022SODIMM.8GB.DDR3L.1600 KINGSTON
    KN.8GB0B.030SODIMM.8GB.DDR3L.1600 SAMSUNG
    KN.8GB0G.022SODIMM.8GB.DDR3L.1600 HYNIX

    Procedure to upgrade:

    1. Remove the ODD module
    2. Remove 20 screws from the base cover
    3. Carefully pry up the base cover starting from the left corner of the system
    4. Grasp and remove the base cover from the system
    5. Disconnect the speaker cable from the mainboard connector

It says 20 screws, but I only count 18 red circles including the one to remove the DVD. Did I just miscount?

Ok, got it. A total of 21, including the one in figure 1.
I was unaware the green circles were screws.
    Thanks...

Also, on mine the hole around where the headphone plug goes through on the bottom case had some slight, excess plastic from the manufacturing of the bottom case that prevented the actual plug on the mobo from seating... I just now (months later) took it apart again to see why it was all warped looking... As I was about to give up I shined a flashlight and noticed what might be some excess plastic there. Then when reassembling a shard of slap, whisker thin was across the hole for the power connector... I'd rather have had a conical file, but I had to use a knife to clean up the headphone hole
