X34 monitor - are these vertical lines normal or should I get RMA?

Just received my monitor, as a replacement for my old Dell U2311.

I think my panel has major issues, but to make sure this isn't normal behavior (it's been years since I bought a new monitor), I'd like your opinion here.
I'm experiencing narrow, vertical lines on my screen, depending on what color it displays. White and pure black have no issues most of the time, while blue, yellow, gray and other colors show them all the time.

I made some pictures in Windows:

I even have it when the screens shows its boot logo or during Windows boot:

I also took this test picture for color banding:

(only the tiny vertical lines are unwanted, the curved lines are due to the picture quality)

I don't think this is standard behavior, right? Should I return the monitor or is there anything I can try to fix it?

I tried G-Sync both on and off, using a DP cable (@60Hz) and a HDMI cable (@50Hz). Same results.

I waited so long for this monitor, but I'd be very disappointed if this are normal findings!

Thanks!

No that's not normal at all. This seems to be the banding issues the first monitors were suffering from. Needs a firmware update at acer unfortunately Smiley Sad

Yes I'm afraid this is definitely not normal.

    You need to either:

    a) Contact the seller where you bought your monitor and ask them for help with an RMA (i.e. return it and get a new one sent out to you).

    b) Contact Acer Support and ask them to fix the monitor under warranty, which they should help with and be able to pay your courier charges too.

If you've only just bought this, I'd go with option a, contact the place you bought it from and explain to them that you need to RMA and get a new unit.  Hopefully when you recieve a proper working unit, you can then register for the warranty with Acer for future protection.

    Cheers.
