Acer Aspirer R3-471T just came in the mail today and it's really frustrating to see that a new laptop has such a buggy touchpad. I've tried uninstalling the HID compliant touchpad driver but the response I get from the touchpad is the same, laggy and cursor that doesn't move. I have also tried to chat with one of the agents and did not help out. I am running Windows 10. Should i just return it back to amazon?

I believe it's the driver for the touchpad.  Having same issue with an R3-131T.  Do you have the ElanTech touchpad or Synaptics?  What version of BIOS are you running?

I've confirmed it's the driver for the touchpad in my case.  I've clean-installed Windows 10 several times.  I have no problem until I connect to the internet and Windows 10 does updates.

To solve the problem until a new driver is released, I set my internet connection to "metered" and Windows updates are not happening.

I hope Acer releases a new driver ASAP.
