Acer One 10 does not support a gateway server?

I recently bought the Acer One 10 to use as a work computer for simple tasks. The only program besides office I need on it is called Compulink. It is essentially a VPN service that uses Remote Desktop Connection to login to a cloud server. Whenever I open it I get this error out of Remote Desktop Connection.

"You have specified to use a gateway server, however this feature is not supported by your system configuration."

followed by this error out of Remote Desktop Connection

"You computer was unable to connect to the remote computer.

Try to reconnect. If the problem continues, contact the owner of the remote computer

Things I have tried:

1. I've installed all updates available from Windows and Acer previous to this.

2. I have tried running the same software from other Windows 10 computers and it works on all 4 with no problems.

3. I've opened my settins in Remote Desktop Connection and assured they matched thos of the working Windows 10 devices.

4. I've checked the system configuration for anything obvious. The only thing I notice is the Acer One 10 uses "Selective Startup" which I doubt has anything to do with it. I've tried switching it to Normal Startup but it won't stay that way.

Basically I'm looking for any kind of setting that would enable a gateway server or an explanation as to why the Acer One 10 is not capable of this.

Any suggestions are appreciated. I'd really like to keep this device as I like everything else about it.

Is it running Windows 10 Home or Professional?
