Aspire V15 Model V3-574G-55UI

Display turned red while playing game. After restart have windows title bar for facebook/skype and bottom windows taskbar  showing even during bios boot (tranparent) red tint is gone now. Random lines are now appearing also.

Video card/memory hardware issue? Or software issue?

Updated to latest Intel VGA driver from ASUS Care, still same issues.

Windows 10 1511 x64 update applied.

    okidave,

You have already updated the drivers, that would have been my first suggestion.

Should that fail, you can try a system restore to when it was not having this issue.

You can try a refresh to see if that resolves it, if not, it sounds like you might need to have it serviced.

Issue is back, see attached picture, taken on bootup. Aspire V15 Model V3-574G-55UI, Windows 10 x64 v1703. Out of warranty.

    -Tried updating drivers, no fix

-Connected to external monitor, displays correctly no issues.

Is the issue the LED display cable or the LCD screen?

If so, Display on boot.Display on boot.Where can I purchase the screen and cable? Screen model number from AIDA64 is LG display LP156WF4-SPL1, is this correct?

OK this is wierd the display works fine now. I is my son's laptop and he took it to school and it worked fine, then back at home it is fine also. I'm thinking it has to be the LCD cable from opening/closing the screen, it's either loose or defective. Any other ideas?

yes, can be a cable issue.

What is the correct LCD display cable part number? I have had the back off before to add a SSD and more memory. Will I also have to remove the display bezel to replace the cable?
