acer and argos help is pricey

Hi. Just visited Argos showroom to see if on-screen keyboard can have "accept/return/tick" icon returned, as I cannot access a website address.

Told to pursue it through Acer phoneline, but this line is too pricey for me, so I want online help.

I ask: why are not helplines a free service instead?

My bluetooth is visible to others, could these have interferred with my machine?

Phoneline is free only if you are under warranty.

About keyboard, which one are you using?

    Many thanks Ironfly.

Sorry for confusion. I am using the on-screen English UK option.

Will try the phone number listed.

two days "tick/accept" icon was present, then vanished!

Your address for google office products is turning out to be interesting. I do thank you very much.

Do not understand Kudos, but have ticked it anyway.

Cannot tick "accept as solution" presently, as I am taken to a 401 system error.

    Thanks again.

if it's not already installed by default, try the google keyboard:

Once again you have come thru 4 me. Afraid however that this option is also a nuisance and unresponsive. But thank you anyway.

    ta very much.

when i phoned for the help, soe paki bozo kept yapping away in a strange accent. still cost me some major bread for all the nothing it was useful for. Problem solved - by shop that gave me the first number....good little machine now, glides about like a dream, covered now in my paw-prints.

my mate a good job going in Aberdeen for a computer guy - knowledge of chemistry would be very useful..physics considered.
