Hello,

am about buying a new screen for my computer, i am thinking mainly about the curved IPS 34" model. but i am concerned about the quality control of acer as i read everywhere about the backlight problems and manufacturing defects rate is high.

i wouldn’t mind it if it came with a problem and you will change it for me.

the problem here that i am living in Egypt, and the screen would cost me around 225 usd for shipping it to Egypt. and if it came with a problem i have to pay the same amount for sending it back to USA. than another 225 usd to get it back from USA to Egypt. that would make things way too much of risk for me.

my question is for any reason if the screen came with a backlight or dead pixels problems can i hand it here in egypt for your officially distributor or something like that for warranty? or i must send it back to USA ?

    oh sorry.

i doubt that Acer will honor warranty on thing bought on USA by a non US citizen.

i will ask for help about your question.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

    Hi medo84,

The X34 does not have an international warranty and would need to be serviced in the region in which it was purchased. In this case, if it were purchased in the US, the US support team would be available to help, but they would only ship it to an address within the US.

While I understand that there is a lot of conversation happening on the X34, I would argue that the defect rate is not high. Most users are not experiencing problems, and of course wouldn't come post about not having issues. With that said, there may be a region closer that would better suit your needs.
