Acer 8473T - What is this empty compartment?

Dear Experts,

 

I recently bought a used Acer 8473T laptop, and I've opened the back.

The RAM/memory module is on the left. But, what is the compartment on the right for? It looks just like a connector. That you can install an electronic component into it.

 

I've looked in the owner's manual, but it does not say anything about this part of the laptop. And, the manual points out that the wireless compartment:

- is in another place

- has its own small door

 

So, I don't think that it's for wireless.

 

 

Any ideas?
