Hello.

A have Aser Aspire VN7-791G-71H2 (V17 Nitro - Black Edition) with 1TB hybrid HDD. I need to install SSD for hight performance. So what the manufacturers advice?

1. Is there any specific SDD that Aser recommends to install to avoid any problem or incompatibility?

2. What the socket I should choose? Sata (1,2,3 or ...???)? Is there M2 socket? So I need to replace my HDD with SSD or I can just add additional SSD with M2 socket?

Thank you.

Hi, there is indeed an m.2 slot in the v17 nitro black and is compatible with SATA 3.

You may wish to look through this thread as there are some links to guides ect.:

    Hello. Thank you.

I installed in my PC this SSD:http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/memory-storage/MZ-N5E250BW

It works. But there is a problem. SSD if empty, Windows locates on HDD. I set in bios first loads hdd, second - SSD. When I turn off my PC and then turn on it, I saw the message NO BOOTABLE DEVICE. Then I go to bios and see another settings: first loads Windows boot manager, then - SSD, and then HDD. So bios do not save (only) boot priority changes (if I turn of PC, and there is no such situation if I only restart computer).

I tryed to turn off Secure Boot and set HDD the firs to load. But I only see black display and mesage "insert bootable device". Windows dont start anyway.

    Please, answer my problem.
    1. If Windows will be locates on HDD and SSD for files wll I always face the message NO BOOTABLE DEVICE or I can avoid it?
    2. If I install Windows on SSD, will be the problem solved?
