    Hi,

Unfortunately the technician is incorrect here, for windows starter 2GB is the limit without any modifications, (information from Intel site) but the theoretical limit is 64GB for a 32 bit computer, I can post links if anyone is interested in increasing above 2GB, I will be installing a 4GB unit soon, so I will update once that is completed. I suggest you look through the Intel forums, and also search in google for 'remove memory lock windows 7'.

Actually, that is the specification for the system.

While Windows 7 Starter may support up to 2GB maximum, on this particular platform, the supported amount of RAM is 1GB.

Tommy, With respect, I have 4GB in my system now, with 3GB usable and I am using Windows 7 Starter with some modifications. My computer was completely unusable with 1GB, so I think it is only fair that we let people know how they can improve their computer sufficiently so that they can actually use it.
