z410 hotspot problem

Sometimes when I use my z410 as a hotspot, it doesn't seem to work. My other devices can not see the ssid. this happens quite often. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have the same problem, the only way i could make it work step by step:

first  turn wifi off,

then turn my sim card on (your's is probably always on)

then set and turn the security you want for the hotspot (before turning it on)

Then turn hotspot on,

and then turn the whole smartphone of and on ( by holding the power button and choose restart on the menu)

Then after restart, your SSID will appear on the surrounding network..

Thanks for the reply. I tried what you said but when I restarted it shut off the hotspot. Sorry you're having the same problem. I want to use it as a Hotspot for my tablet everyday.  Did I miss something??

Forgot to tell after turning on sim card , on the same page turn data connexion on (it is the next item after SMS/MMS, on mine in french: "connection des données" on your's should be DATA connexion in english) you do that before turning hotspot on.

Those cell phone are very picky but after you can get your hotspot on on 4G lte, you get a very fast connection.

First time it took me several hours to make it work and didn't know what had done last to make it work and it took many tryal befor getting working at all time.

My Z410 has the same problem.  New in mid January the WiFi hotspot function worked fine up until a week ago.  Now no way to get it to work.  The phone says it's working but it cannot be seen on any computer WiFi list.   I've trued rebootng, removing the battery and chip, still not working.  I'm able to connect my laptop via Bluetooth but not with the hotspot feature.  Any ideas short of a complete reset ?
