aspire v5-122p usb port 3.0 can no longer detect usb2.0 devices but can detect 3.0 devices.

usb port 3.0 can no longer detect 2.0 devices but can detect 3.0 devices only. At device manager there is this " device descriptor request failed" i also bought " converter port cable" but its not working but device manager says device is working properly. Please help...

    right click on the device with  " device descriptor request failed", choose uninstall, reboot.

     

    let windows re-install drivers then check if USB2.0 ports work.

    my computer's 2.0 usb port is working fine....no prroblems with it. Only the 3.0 port which is no longer backward compatible with 2.0 devices which was fine before. I tried your suggestions before but still the same. Thats why i bought acer converter port cable to add another usb port since aspire v5-122p has only 2 usb port but the converter cable isnt working too.
