Is the Acer Aspire 5536 compatible with the windows 10 upgrade?

if so, what is the best process to upgrade from Vista to windows 10?

    It is not supported by Acer for Windows 10 and I'm pretty sure Vista is not supported by MS for Windows 10.

    You can download Windows 10 freely, but it won't activate unless you buy a key for it.

    I don't think it will let you upgrade from the store or Windows update.

    If I wanted to upgrade, I would download it, install it, and see what problems it causes. 

    Either save all your personal things or remove your HDD intact and use another HDD to test out Windows 10.

    That way you can put your HDD back in and you're ready to go.

    You would have to purchase an upgrade from Vista to either 7 or 8.1 first, and there's no guarantee it would work once you have done that.

    Or you can just buy Windows 10. Either way, you are going to have to buy an Operating system.
