Acer Aspire z3-600 motherboard heat shield cover removal for memory upgrade

I have an Acer Asipre Z3-600-UB16 and need to upgrade RAM but need to remover the heat shield cover over the motherboard / RAM.

I have already pulled the back plastic cover, the stand, removed the hard drive, and the accessible screws that hold the cover/heat shield over the motherboard/RAM.  It appears that additional disassembly is required but there is absolutely zero information on the internet or even Youtube on disassembly of this unit, and nothing available for a service manual or even simple pictures or diagrams.

Does anyone have any written docs or video showing additional steps on removing the cover (or heat shield) for the motherboard / RAM. Worse case, may have to cut a hole in the metal cover to get to the RAM/memory.

    Thanks for you quick reply.

Based on your picture, it appears you may have removed the plastic housing, which is preventing the removal of the cover ... and there may be some screws under the plastic housing.

This is the picture at this point in time of the back cover removed from the Z3-600.  It appears in your pic, that the plasic housing may have been removed.  I cannot find anything on how to disassemble / separate the housing.

    1. Remove the rear cover (plastic housing):

I am having trouble finding the "latches" you mention. The pictures are not clear enough. Could you elaborate a little more on the location of the latches?

The latches are the plastic tabs that lock the front and back halves of the plastic case together. You use a tool like an old credit card or guitar pick to pry them apart.
