Predator X34 firmware update needed.

I have one of the monitors released in Germany with the blue color banding issue. I'm trying to obtain the firmware update to fix it. I've called my local Acer support hotline (Denmark), and they've told me to email them, which I have done several times. I've waited almost a month for a reply, and I'm getting kind of impatient. Can anyone tell me if there is someone else you can contact in order to resolve this matter?

Cory, I have the exact same issue.

I have blue color banding with the blue gradient test.

Green and red are perfect in 265 steps but blue only has 16 steps.

    I need the firmware update.

You have to send it back to Acer to get it fixed. I called support and got a UPS label to send it back.

I also had one of the first models with the blue banding problem from alternate.de

Four weeks ago I had sent it in to Acer Germany who gave me an RMA and it only took them five work days to return it to me with the problem solved.

I had also described the backlight problem to them, but at that time they hadn't acknowledged it yet and apparently didn't see it because they did a factory reset after the firmware update which put the brightness level back to 80 where the problem isn't occuring.

I'll have to send it back in again some time for that, but I'm holding out on this to see if they also release a firmware-fix for the scanline artifacts. Neither problem really bug me at the moment, but for 1300 Euro I think you're entitled to get the best quality possible.
