Hello.

I am Tom from Monroe County in NE Pennsylvania.     I have a small business buying fixer-upper houses and renting them; and I do photography of real estate, as well as events and portraits.

I currently use an Acer Aspire V laptop with a 15" screen with 1368x760 (approx) resolution, 8GB Ram, and a Hard Drive of about 500GB.      I want to get a slightly smaller laptop, but with more resolution,  and an extra rugged one to withstand construction site office type use.     Do you have any recommendations?    I use the laptop casually for photography, but not for color critical photographic work.

I am having trouble with the Aspire V, in so far as I have been unable to connect it wirelessly to a bluetooth speaker.

Sometimes when I am typing, the cursor jumps to some other part of the screen.    Why is that?    I think it might be related to my hand touching the touchpad.

    TomBrooklyn,

It does sound like you may be experiencing palm checking if the cursor is just jumping to a random location, which can be adjusted in the mouse properties settings in the control panel.

If it connects to other Bluetooth devices and not the speaker, it might just be a compatibility issue. Smiley Sad

Hi. I can't get it to connect to any Bluetooth device.   How do I know if Bluetooth works on this computer?

As for palm checking, I don't know what that is and I couldn't find anything informative about it, or find anything on it in the Control Panel.
