We have an Aspire XC-603 desktop with Windows 8.1 which was originally connected to a Philips desktop monitor via the HDMI port.

Recently we upgraded to an Eizo graphics monitor which supports a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1440. It has DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort connections.

Using the HDMI port connection we can only achieve a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 via the property settings of the Intel HD Graphics driver software on the PC.

The Aspire XC-603 does not have a DisplayPort connection nor does it appear to have a full length PCI Express expansion slot to accommodate a separate graphics card with DisplayPort.

Is there a workaround whereby we can get 2560 x 1440 out of the Aspire XC-603 via HDMI ?
