    • Acer Quick Access on/off option for boot to desktop

    I am running Windows 10 on my Aspire AIO. Acer Quick Access has an on/off button for boot to desktop. I am not sure what this really does as Windows 10 already boots straight to desktop. If I choose on - to boot to desktop what will it do?

      That feature was something put in place for Windows 8 really, since it booted up to the tile screen when it got into Windows. Since you have Windows 10 and it boots to the desktop screen anyway, you do not really need to toggle it on.

       

      I do not happen to have access to an AIO that has that feature currently, but I would be willing to say if you turned it on, set your AIO to tablet mode, and restarted, it would probably boot to desktop mode. It is something you can test, if you would like, but I think that feature can just be ignored at this point.
