Acer Iconia Tab 8W W1-810 Restore Failed

Hi guys,

Recently I tried to update the camera driver for my Acer Iconia Tab 8W W1-810. As usual after the driver update, the device will prompt windows to restart. It failed to get to desktop, so the only option is for me to restore the tablet.

After restoring it, I use ccleaner to clean up my tablet and it accidentally deleted the windows.old file. Then the tablet automatically restarted and it gave me blue screen of death and popped out "critical system failed' etc I forgot the message.

I tried to restore the windows but apparently it is impossible since the tab didn't come with a windows disc etc for me to restore it. And using the system restore to earlier point is also impossible since the windows.old is deleted. I'm going to Russia soon and I really need it to do some of my work.

Please help, guys.

If you didn't create a set of recovery disks, and your tablet didn't come with a set, you're likely going to have to purchase a set from Acer. With those you should be able to restore to factory and from there do the updates and upgrades to get everything working again.
