Acer Aspire Easystore Recovery after HDD Fail

I have the H340 with two WD20EADS Western Digital 2T harddrives.  It seems my primary drive bit the dust this morning, when the server boots up I hear the drive whining, get two red lights, etc.  I ran the Server Recovery CD process and it found the server but I get "Network Error" when I select Recover Data.

I am assuming I just need to replace the main drive.  I've been backing up my files to the drive in Bay 2 so I hope I have not lost anything.

Do I just need to buy a new WD Green harddrive, place it in Bay 1 and then run the Server Recovery?  How do I recover my files on the drive in Bay 2?

Thanks!

Dumb question also - Should I go red WD drive as suggested elsewhere, or since I am keeping one green drive should I get a green?  Both seem about the same price but not sure on compatibility.

If you're running the green as storage and the red as primary, it should be fine. I have seen where people are running the WD red and green together.

Thanks.  Can you give me any feedback on how I would recover my data on the Bay 2 drive?  Do I just install a new main drive and run the Recovery CD to install a new OS?  Will this allow me then to access the backup drive even though all users are lost?

I don't know much about NAS systems. This looks promising:

i don't know how Easystore works, but NAS normally are based on Linux enviroment and if your RAID was RAID1, you can normally access the content from any PC if folders are shared.

    or

you can take out the HDD, use an USB HDD bay and browse the content with some file explorer like the one mentioned by philetus.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
