W500 is STUCK at "Installing ConfigWLM" (Update 34/50) HELP!!

An Acer Iconia Tab W500-BZ467 was giving to my wife without the recovery disks, so I ordered them through Acer.  I have had no problems using the System Disc, Recovery 1 and 2 Discs or even the Language Disc.  The problem I have is after the process of going through the discs, the system starts "Software Installation" and gets stuck at Installing ConfigWLM" (Update 34/50).  I have tried twice and have even left it alone over night.  What do I do?  Thanks in advance.

    I am having the same problem. I even left it running overnight. It's disappointing to spend money to buy recovery disks that do not perform their intended function.  ICONIATAB W500 recovery stalls at Installing ConfigWLM  34/50

    I had similar problem with "34/50 update stuck forever". Somewhere in internet search I found tips which worked.

    You need USB keyboard during installation. While it is being stuck on 34/50, tap ALT, TAB several times. It flickers with various window component during tapping, and finally proceeded to update 35/50. It was a relief, might work for you. Have same model W500, and was resetting to factory specification using Acer recoery disc.  thanks

    I have used the recovery disks on two different W500 tablets.

    One of them came with two recovery disks, the other one came with four recovery disks.

    The one that has two recovery disks has disks labeled:

    * Acer, Iconia Tab W500 Series, Recovery DVD, 1 0f 2

    * Acer, Iconia Tab W500 Series, Recovery DVD, 2 of 2

    The one that has four recovery disks has disks labled:

    * Acer Empowering People, System Disk, Disk 1 of 1

    * Acer Empowering People, Recovery Disk, Disk 1 of 2

    * Acer Empowering People, Recovery Disk, Disk 2 of 2

    * Language Disk, 1 of 1

    This problem occurs on systems with the four recovery disks.

    The problem appears to be when System Preparation tool runs

    c:\oem\preload\wlm2011\en\wlsetup.exe

    To close/bypass ConfigWLM (lmsetup.exe) required more than

    just repeatedly pressing ALT + TAB...

    It required repeatly pressing Alt + Tab while also repeatedly

    pressing Alt + F4 to close ConfigWLM (wlsetup.exe).

    What a pain...
