hello ,my touch pad fails to work on my Acer Aspire E-511 notebook. i recently upgraded to windows 10 from windows 8.1 . the wireless mouse works fine. in my device manager there is a problem with the PCI encryption/decryption controller. it sayes the drivers for tis device have not been installed ( code28 ) . there are no compatible drivers for this device. what do i do about this ? A reply is appreciated.

    Jamesthehawk,

You can try removing the touchpad drivers and restarting the system to let Windows 10 install them and see if that fixes it.

I am not sure about your system but I did the UPgrade for my Sisters computer and she had an issue with the same thing. I tried to un installing and re installing them for nothing to work. After all was said and done I had to press the FN and F5 or F6 I can't remember now to turn it on. For some reason with the update to Windows 10 it was OFF. I don't know if this is the same issue for you. But I know if it is it will save you many hours of trying to make it work over a Driver that was saying in Manager that its working.

    Hope this Helps

there is nothing for a touch pad listed in the device manager. i tried to uninstall the PCI driver as i mentioned before and that never worked. i do not want to try to uninstall my wireless mouse driver since itsis working fine. if you or anyone do have any clue what else i can try please tell me. thanks.

    Jamesthehawk,

Under mice and pointing devices in the Device Manager there is nothing listed that says ELAN or Synaptics?

Maybe you need to go to setup (press f2 while booting) and make sure that touchpad is set to basic
