Hi,
I have upgraded my XC-605 to an i5 from i3 and from 6GB to 16GB ram. it was afresh OEM install of 8.1 Home upgraded to 10 Home (x64).
Hardware installed was:
Intel i5 4460 Quad Core CPU (3.20GHz, 6MB Cache, 84W, Graphics, Turbo Boost Technology, Socket 1150)
Kingston D1G64K110 8GB 1600MHz Non-ECC
The BIOS has been flashed to the lastest (B4 or whatever it is from B3).
The issue now is if I exit the BIOS or select restart from the OS the PC won't restrat. It exits Windows cleanly and then switches of the display (get the analg/DVI message) and the HD stops etc. Booting the PC into the BIOS does the same when you exit and save the BIOS.
Loaded BIOS defaults, makes no difference.
The PC does boot fine (and quickly), runs fine, CPU sits about 48c constandly and all the cores are fine, can run VM's fine.
In desperation I wiped the machine and did a fresh OEM build of 8.1 (x64) home, upgarded to 10 again but same thing. Also during the upgrade reboots I had to power down when the monitors turned of but the process ran through with no issues.
I'm at a total loss. Kicking it didn't help either.
Has anyone seen this behaviour before? the machine runs fine but I cannot reset with is unsettling and I worry it will eventually lead to other issues.
Can anyone help? I'll send beer money via paypal if anyone can sort this
