Acer Aspire AX1430 CPU/MB upgrade

Hello,

I have a Acer Aspire AX1430-UR12P Desktop running Windows 10 that was originally equipped with a integrated AMD E-350 CPU (January 2011). I have replaced the orginal MB.SH207.001 motherboard with a later version (August 2011) that has the upgraded AMD E-450 CPU.

However my computer does not recognize the newer CPU and displays the old one. I have tried flashing the BIOS but it still dosen't recognize the new CPU.

Is there a way to fix this?

Thank you.

    Hello,

    What model of processor do you see in the bios setup utility?

    Thanks for the reply. My BIOS still lists the original processor, an AMD E-350 not the new E-450.

    I apologize for the delayed response, I had to reset my Windows 10 OS. Apparently changing a MB really messes up the hardware-base activation.

    Hello,

    No problem!Smiley Happy

    The original motherboard is:

    MB.SH207.001MAIN BD.AMD.D1.HD6310 (AMD E-350 with APU HD6310)

    The new motherboard has the same part number on the picture so the same processor.

    Could you check the part number of the new motherboard?

    E.g. motherboards with AMD E-450 APU HD6320:

    MB.SHV07.001MAIN BD.AMD.D1.HD6320
    MB.SHV07.003MAIN BD.AMD.D1.HD6320

    APU HD6310 --> AMD E-350

    APU HD6320 --> AMD E-450

    Would this help or is the part number listed somewhere on the physical MB?

    You'll find a sticker on the new motherboard. There is a string of characters under the bar code. The first ten are the part number: e.g. MBSHV07001*********

    Nevermind, the MB I bought on eBay has the wrong CPU listed. Thanks for your help.

    Yes it is exactly the same motherboard with AMD E-350. Sorry the seller is not serious!
