Switch 10 and Windows 10 recovery problem

Hi all,

I have installed on my Acer Switch 10 Windows 10 with Microsoft Media Creation Tool.

Everything was ok until I tried to access Switch's Bios: without changes I restarted the notebook and the I got the error 0x0000034 ("Recovery needed for device" i think, I don't know the exact translation, my system is in italian).

So I created a recovery media USB for Windows 10 from a Desktop PC and then tried to start recovery either from USB port on keyboard or from micro USB on the left side of the body, in both cases without success.

I would appreciate any help/idea..

thanks in advance

Lorenzo

Try to force shutdown 3-5 times, this will force windows 10 to start a repair process.

about the USB flash drive, have you tried to press F12 at boot and check if the USB device is listed?

    Thanks IronFly,

Yes I have tried to press f12 but I can only see Windows boot, but no USB device is detected.

I cannot force shutdown because the only working key at blue screen time is the Windows keys on the body.(Win key on the keyboard is not working...)

I have created USB bootable from the recovery procedure on another desktop. May I have to use Microsoft Media Creation Tool?

    Thanks

    L.

to force shutdown, you need to long press power button, not windows key Smiley Happy

about your USB flash drive not recognised, you can try to disable secure boot on BIOS

if you have an iso file, be sure that's x86 (32 bit version) and try to burn it using Rufus, selecting UEFI only as partition scheme:

if this doesn't work, try also the Windows Media Creation tool.
