Acer Liquid E600 Data connection doesn't work

I previously used the phone in Russia and all worked fine.

After relocation to Latvia I cannot use mobile data connection. I tried all 3 mobile operators, filled manually APN settings, but I couldn't even mark those APNs.

I think that APN settings for Latvia (operators TELE2, BITE, LMT) are not present in the firmware. Can you help me?

you can easily check if APNs are available or not, put the SIM card on your E600 boot and check if any APN is available.

if not, you can create one.

you said, i can't mark it, do you mean that after creating a new APN you can just tap it and enable it?

    was mobile data enabled?

What do you mean by "put the SIM card on your E600 boot"?

Mobile data was enabled for sure.

I meant, that when my data connection worked, I saw something like radio button against the APN.

No I havent such radio button.

using your SIM card, APNs are available or not?

if there are no APNs for your SIM network provider, the APN list will be empty.

i don't understand if the list was empty (without any APN) or with some APNs available.

Automatically no APNs (but they exist with anoter phone with this SIM card).

When I added APN manually, I couldn't choose it (by radio-button)

it's strange that you can't enable as default a new APN.

testing an E700, create a new APN, save it, on the main APN list, you have to simply tap on the circle at the right of the APN name, not the APN name itself.

    Hi IronFly,

Circle is not shown at the right (see screenshot)

I also tried to download file with list of APN from telephone (may be .csd, I don't rememmber). It didn't contain any APN for te current country (Latvia).

i don't have other ideas, can be a bug on the Acer E600 android version.

have you check under settings/about phone/system updates

    if any update is available?

OK I'll watch for this tonight, the phone is not with me right now.

I remembered that I donwloaded file apns-conf.xml from the phone's OS and it didn't contain any APN in the domain .lv (Latvia) , but, for example it contained APNs from the neighbour countries - .ee and .lt (Estonia and Lithuania)

But if no upgrade is available now for this phone, will it be possible to update the APN list for it in the new firmware/update?

A new system update can fix the APN issue for sure but i don't know if one is available or not.

    Hi IronFly.

I checked the phone - no update is available.

Screenshots with firmware level are in the message.

May you assist with addition of latvian APNs for the new update for Acer E600?

Because it seems to me that it will never be issued.

i think the only way to do it, is to root your device, edit one of the existing APNs on the APN.xml file, then save it or overwrite the existing one on your phone.

by the way, we can't discuss it here but...
