Acer s7-391 will not turn on

Hi there, after not using my laptop as i was abroad for 7 days, I tried turning it on and noticed that no lights were showing up and the computer was not booting. Not even the startup sound can be heard. I tried charging it but the charging indicator light isn't coming on either! I tried removing the case and seeing if the issue was due to dust or something but i couldn't see anything wrong. When i reassembled the laptop i noticed the screw on the top left (hinge pointed up) was loose, and it seems to be due to a stripped screw hole. I believe this happened as I was removing the case. I was wondering if anyone could help me in answering some of these questions please:

1) How major is the stripped screw hole problem? is it a terminal problem or can it easily be rectified?
2) Any ideas on why the laptop isn't turning on? Should i try taking it to a local repair store or send it to Acer?

3) Following from 2, does anyone know how much acer would charge for a fix like this?

Thank you, any help and advice is greatly appreciated!

Oh and just to let you know I am from the UK in terms of repair costs

    vsps7,

I am not sure what the repair costs would be, you would have to contact the Acer technical support in your area to get that. It does sound like it might be having an issue where a service would be required, unfortunately.
