Acer Aspire E5-572g-72m5 WiFI connectivity issue

It seems my internet connection is extremely inconsistent on my Acer laptop, with the speeds slowing down to the point in which I can't load a simple Google page. These slowdowns last up to 10 minutes and then the internet picks up against slightly. I've updated to Windows 10 and I've updated the driver to my wireless card and I still deal with the same issue. My service provider is Xfinity and it seems to work very well on my other devices using Wifi except for the laptop.

 

An agent told me to try and reset TCP IP but that didn't work. What other fixes can I try? Or is there a chance my laptop is defective?

Did this issue persist before or immediately after the upgrade to Windows 10? If not, there could be a software issue that is causing it to happen, I would recommend performing a system restore to when it was working correctly. You can also try a refresh to fix any operating system file issues that might be present.
